One of the ancient monasteries, that have been standing on the granite rock in the middle of Ladoga Lake for almost one thousand years.

What we have to do is:
  • To enjoy the crystal-clear, ruddy-facing air and the unique nature of the “monk” realm: steep cliffs, islands, bays, lakes, pine forest…
  • To bow to the saint icons of the Valaam abode.
  • To walk around the central estate of the monastery.
